At Mesh4 we supply screed reinforcement called KAP for the construction industry, designed to support plaster, render and mortar. These fibreglass nets have a rectangular mesh structure and are coated with starch to avoid the attack of alkali, they offer excellent dimensional stability and are tear resistant. Being light and versatile they prevent surface cracking and are easy to apply and cut with scissors.
We supply two types:
KAP/L – White – 65g/m2
Manufactured from 100% pure fibreglass yarns. Its light and versatile due to its thickness and grammage specifically balanced whilst maintaining good tensile strength properties.
Its ideal for the following applications:
- Plaster and skim coating on existing plaster or wall structures
- Support for mosaics
- Liquid membrane reinforcement
KAP – Yellow – 145g/m2
Has high mechanical resistance both longitudinally and transversely. Its very thick mesh (3.5mm x 4 mm) makes it suitable for thermal insulation systems and skim coating.
This KAP was awarded with the ITC-CNR quality mark in compliance with the requirements included in the ETAG 004 guide and can be used for plaster in ETICS systems. Therefore, this mark certifies the product quality as well as the high and constant standards of its production process, making KAP one of the best products on the market.
